I Mandorli

The wind and the Syrah

Mandorli is one of the vineyards with the best exposure; an area of one hectare framed among other vineyards and prevailing over the others in a small “plateau.” The vineyard was established in ’99 when the estate’s first Syrah vines were planted. The loamy-clay soil provides the vines with good resistance to drought, avoiding stress that could affect the quality of the grapes, but at the same time the high presence of skeleton makes the soil well drained and rich in calcium. Since this is a well-ventilated area overlooking the valley, organic management is even more simplified and allows us to minimize the number of treatments, so as to make these grapes even more unique.
