The name comes from the centuries-old cypress tree that divides the vineyard into two bodies. “Il Cipresso,” is a vineyard of about two hectares that extends in one of the highest points of the estate complex in one of the coolest areas surrounded by forest. Precisely for the latter reason, in 1999, the estate considered it the right place to plant a Merlot destined to produce grapes that are balanced and not as aggressive as those typical of Super Tuscans.
